Police: Valley Stream Walmart security guard punched after confronting customers

Police say the guard spotted the group improperly scanning merchandise on a self-checkout machine at the Valley Stream location Sunday.

Four Brooklyn women are under arrest following an alleged assault of a Walmart security guard on Long Island.
Police say the guard spotted the group improperly scanning merchandise on a self-checkout machine at the Valley Stream location Sunday.
They say when the guard approached them, two of the women punched him in the face. All four then ran out of the store, police say.
The 51-year-old guard was transported to a hospital.
All four women -- Sada Stricklin, 25, Fantasia Hall, 23, Michelle Freeman, 28, Shariel Stith, 27, -- were charged with second-degree robbery. Hall and Stricklin were also charged with third-degree assault.
