A woman is in critical condition after being run over and then stabbed by her husband in Queens, police say.
According to the NYPD, suspect Stephen Giraldo, 36, intentionally ran over the 41-year-old woman following a domestic dispute Tuesday.
The impact caused the Jeep to overturn, but police say he got out of the vehicle and began stabbing her.
The couple's three sons, aged 6, 9 and 11 years old, were in the car at the time of the incident but were not physically harmed.
Giraldo was arrested and is being charged with attempted murder and endangering the welfare of a child.
Giraldo is a Metropolitan Transportation Authority employee. Sources tell News 12 the agency is "holding him out of service without pay, pending the completion of the investigation."
