Police say a woman was found dead in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

Officials say they found the woman inside 225 Parkside Ave. lying on the basement-area floor, unconscious and unresponsive.

EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

Officials say the woman appeared to be in her 50s.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
