A woman was shot in the face overnight in the Highbridge section of the Bronx, police say.
According to the NYPD, a 39-year-old woman was shot at around 11 p.m. a few blocks away near University Avenue.
The victim is currently in stable condition.
Authorities say the suspect believed to be responsible fled in a black vehicle. No other information has been released at this time.
