Students from the Andrew Freedman Home are welcoming people to the first holiday pop-up store on the Grand Concourse.
The Artist Shop features the original work of 12 artists at 161st Street within the Grand Concourse Historic District.
The art includes paintings, T-shirts, necklaces and graffiti that artists say represents their life stories.
Artist Peter George, who moved to the United States from Liberia, says art saved him while he was battling with bullying and depression.
The shop will be open until Dec. 25.
