A possible water main break in Mount Eden has left many there without water.
Neighbors near Featherbed Lane say they heard a loud noise at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, and then water began rushing down the road.
A crater formed in the middle of the road where it's believed the possible water main break occurred. The road flooded, with water covering about half of the tires on cars, but has since gone down after officials turned off the water.
FDNY and Department of Environmental Protection members were on the scene Thursday morning, but have since left.
There is no word yet on when the water will be restored.
