Procter & Gamble issues voluntary recall of certain shampoos due to presence of benzene
Procter & Gamble has issued a voluntary recall of certain shampoos due to the presence of benzene, a known carcinogen. 
The recall is for some aerosol dry conditioner spray products and aerosol dry shampoo spray products from Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences, and Waterless produced in the United States, in addition to previously discontinued aerosol dry shampoo products from Old Spice and Hair Food. 
The recalled products were distributed nationwide in the United States through retail outlets and online. Retailers have been alerted to remove recalled products from shelves.
