A new program is giving pregnant women the tools they need to have a healthy and happy baby.
The Stork’s Nest Program at the Union Community Health Center includes seven weekly sessions in healthy habits during pregnancy and after birth.
It aims to teach women all they need to know about being a prepared parent.
Organizers say if moms-to-be come to the program with their partner or friend, they earn points.
They say those points can be used to pay for newborn necessities at their shop.
Organizers say it takes a little bit of the financial burden off these new parents, while teaching them life lessons as well.
