Your slow commute on the Bronx River Parkway may be easing up!
The 75-year-old structure of the Bronx River Parkway got a huge upgrade - and went from two lanes to three.
New overhead signs, lighting and space for drivers are just some of the enforcements. The project cost more than $60 million – a big win for some north Bronx neighborhoods.
"We're not done. Heading towards a stop just off to the Bronx Zoo, we're going to be rehabilitating four bridges. And if you take a total span of what this total cost is going to be, we're talking about three-fourths of $1 billion," said Public Information Officer Rolando Infante.
