Prominent Puerto Ricans honored at Bronx Music Hall

Prominent names in the Puerto Rican community were honored Thursday evening by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson at the newly opened Bronx Music Hall.
This year’s honorees included:
  • Maximino "Maxi" Rivera – the founder of the Rainbow Garden of Life + Health
  • Chef Billy Jack Perez - culinary educator and celebrity chef
  • Madelyn V. Marquez - Crain's New York Business's 2021 Most Notable Women on Wall Street
  • Jerry Vargas - co-talent coordinator for the 116th Street Festival.
  • Gino Pacheco - business owner and philanthropist
The event also featured Bomba and Plena performers, as well as a poetry reading by poet Jennifer Diaz.
