Floyd, an unarmed black man, was killed by a white police officer during an arrest in Minneapolis, authorities say.
Protests have sparked across Brooklyn, and protesters say it will continue until their voices are heard.
Maia Eiv shared concern when she said she saw her friends join the protests because of the coronavirus possibly spreading. She said she still wanted to help out in some way because she felt passionate about the Black Lives Matter movement.
Eiv handed out free water, snacks and supplies like ear plugs.
