The Orchard Beach Pavilion will get a major overhaul through a multimillion-dollar projects aimed at refurbishing the deteriorating park.
The city heard from Bronx residents at a meeting Tuesday night as they plan on sprucing up the pavilion.
The project hopes to create a year-round destination for Bronx residents and New Yorkers alike.
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. worked with the city and state to secure funds for the project. The NYC Development Corporation wants to modernize the pavilion with shops, restaurants and concert areas.
Construction on the pavilion is set to begin by mid-2020.
