Metro-North train stations are coming to the East Bronx – but before that happens, the public is being invited to share their thoughts.
The city's Planning Department says they're adding Metro-North stations to Co-op City, Parkchester/ Van Nest and Hunts Point by 2027.
They say it will offer transportation options for Bronx residents, reduced commute times to and from Manhattan, and increase access to jobs.
"I know a lot of people who live outside of Manhattan that need to commute into Manhattan," said one Bronx commuter. "And also, children who go to school there and attend events there."
Tonight's public hearing is slated to start at 7 p.m. at the Residence Inn Marriott Hotel — Metro Center on Eastchester Road.
