A statewide partial gas tax holiday was lifted Saturday, so New York City may see an increase in prices at the pump.
The tax break was originally put in place back in June when those prices skyrocketed to over $5 per gallon. Without that tax suspension, prices are expected to increase to about 16 cents per gallon.
According to GasBuddy.com, the cheapest gas price in the Bronx is over at Citgo on Bronxdale Avenue at about $3.19.
In Brooklyn, the cheapest deal for gas is over at the Shell Station on Utica Avenue at $3.19 as well.
