Students from the P.S. 384X campus in Hunts Point got a chance to step foot on their school's brand-new, million-dollar playground Tuesday.
The students joined city officials during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The renovations include an environmentally friendly turf field, gazebo, performing stage and a running track.
It’s the first renovation the school has had. Designers took the old, asphalt space and transformed it into a colorful outlet for kids and the public to enjoy.
Some of the students also got a chance to help design the playground.
