The Abraham House in Mott Haven had an empty lot that needed a little love.

Rebuilding Together NYC works on community revitalization projects, and together, the groups got to work on building a garden for the unused space.

The Abraham House provides resources to formerly incarcerated individuals like temporary housing, education, food and more.

Now the space will feature a community garden with fresh herbs, vegetables, and flowers.

Rebuilding Together NYC connects sponsors with volunteer groups and sites that need upgrades.

Representatives from the group tell News 12 they help build, paint and renew places like community centers, nonprofits and shelters.

This is just one part of Rebuilding NYC’s Bronx footprint. The group also has grant money set aside for critical home repairs.
