A crumb cake snack
sold at Whole Foods is being recalled because it may contain
undeclared pecans.
Boston Baking Inc.
says it is recalling its 3-ounce, individually wrapped packages of
"Boston Baking Mini Cinnamon Crumb Cakes" food snacks because
people who have allergies to pecans run the risk of serious or
life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the products.
The recalled cakes were
sold in stores across the northeast including Connecticut, New Jersey, and New
York.
No illnesses or consumer complaints
have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
