Bronx residents in Throgs Neck are feeling the pinch. Many say their Con Edison bills are soaring, making it tough to get by.
"The two utilities providing the same gas service to the same city should, in theory, have the same pricing," Torres said. "Yet in practice, the pricing differs, and the difference is not minor. It's massive. It's more than 100%."
News 12 contacted Con Edison for comment. It stated that gas delivery prices vary based on factors, like service level and customer needs. Con Edison also mentioned heavy investments in clean energy alternatives.
