A Bronx woman claims her windows were filled with concrete and blocked by a construction project happening right next door.
Pat McConnell says she has lived at 3555 Bruckner Boulevard for almost 30 years, with a clear view southbound from the fourth-floor bedroom and bathroom window – until this week.
"I no longer have any view, I have no air,” said McConnell.
A new apartment building going up in the lot next door blocks her view and now she says her lot-line windows were covered in concrete.
"It's loaded with cement…not a little bit and not a splash – it’s caked on,” said McConnell.
The new eight-story residential building is directly attached to their apartment building and was approved by the Department of Buildings.
News 12 spoke to a construction manager of the new building who says they told the landlord at 3555 Bruckner Boulevard what they would be doing. He said the DOB had found no issues.
Other tenants of the building told News 12 that they are worried their windows will also be filled with concrete from the construction project.
