It's been half a year since a five-alarm fire tore through 2910 Wallace Ave. in the Bronx, displacing more than 250 families.

Many of those tenants are still without permanent housing six months later. Residents rallied on Wednesday to demand accountability from landlord Ved Parkash.

The building remains under an active vacate order. The NYC Department of Buildings says landlords are legally responsible for maintaining their properties in safe and code-compliant conditions.

While the building owner has since filed emergency repair permits, residents claim there has been little visible progress.

"We just want justice," said Kelly, a long-term resident. "We've lost so much already. It's time someone takes responsibility."
