Residents at 665 Westchester Ave. say water has been leaking from their lobby ceiling since before Christmas.
This has raised concerns about potential dangers including tenants slipping, the water cleanliness, and the danger of water close light fixtures and security cameras.
Residents say it does not surprise them to have these sorts of ongoing issues because nothing ever gets done, according to them.
News 12 reached out to NYCHA for a statement.
"NYCHA plumbers are on site at 665 Westchester Ave., addressing a blockage in an upstairs unit's kitchen that is causing a leak in the building's lobby. While repairs are underway, the water has been turned off to the affected line. Once cleared, the leak will be repaired, and water will be fully restored," said NYCHA Press Secretary Michael Horgan.
