The community faced off against the police Saturday at a youth basketball clinic in Crotona Park East.
Sleep Johnson created the Community Board Athletic Leadership League, or C-Ball, to help Bronx residents stay healthy, active and on the right track. The league is especially focused on young people.
Johnson organized a friendly tournament of games that pitted residents against NYPD officers at the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club.
Officers and residents both say that they would rather face off on the court instead of on the streets.
Johnson says he plans on expanding C-Ball even further as the weather gets warmer. He wants to offer football, volleyball and softball so even more Bronx residents can get involved.
