The Bronx has a strong art community, even if it hasn't quite reached the popularity of its Brooklyn counterpart.
It's why organizations like the Bronx River Art Center play an important role in helping artists showcase their work. But while its West Farms space remains under renovation, the 30-year organization has found new ways to help connect artists with the community.
For the next month, the formerly vacant Rex Hall will be used for a pop-up "Work in Progress" exhibit. The aim of the exhibit and a variety of workshops is to help artists connect with a different area of the Bronx.
The Belmont Improvement District provided the space to the artist group.
