3h agoThere are some big items up for grabs at Sotheby's Auction House with one selling for a jaw-dropping price.
A custom designed ring belonging to Tupac Shakur sold at auction for a record $1 million. The legendary rapper wore the ring during his final public appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 4, 1996. The 25-year-old rapper was shot a few days later.
The gold, ruby and diamond crown ring sold Tuesday, making it the most valuable hip-hop artifact ever sold. It was designed by Tupac and made in New York shortly after he signed a new deal with Death Row Records.
The ring was offered to auction by the artist's godmother.
Another big-ticket item at auction is an ultra-rare pair of Apple sneakers that is being sold for $50,000. That's right! The maker of the iPhone also has sneakers. The shoes feature a rainbow Apple logo and were custom made for the company's employees as a one-time giveaway at a national sales conference in the mid-1990s.
The shoes have a higher price tag than any other current Apple product.
