A home on the campus of The Hebrew Home of Riverdale will be studied by the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission.

It comes after plans for the home to be demolished have been delayed, agreed upon by The Hebrew Home of Riverdale, after the Kingsbridge Historical Society learned of the possible ties dating back to the American Revolution.

Nick Dembowski, president of the Kingsbridge Historical Society, says he noticed the ties by looking at maps dating back to the 1700’s that showed the house.

The agreement to delay demolition of the home stretches until Jan. 1, 2025.
