Dozens of Bronx residents came together at the Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy on Wednesday to ask the mayor and leading city officials their pressing questions.
Most of the conversation had to do with public safety. One high school freshman expressed concerns about illegal mopeds in New York City.
“We're using our technology, aviation, drones, cops are well trained to shut down bridges, we really changed the game with this but it’s still priority for us and we’re not going to stop,” said NYPD chief John Chell.
Other attendees raised concerns from illegal smoke shops to housing and flooding issues. Law enforcement officials responded saying that for those illegal smoke shops, police officers will now have more reign to shut them down.
