Way towards the weekend and one day definitely better than the other. We got to let you know what's going to happen on Sunday because it's definitely going to impact things, maybe heading even into Monday. Hope, what are we looking at here? Yes, a lot of travel woes starting Sunday evening and lasting into Monday morning. So here's the travel timeline. As early as 9 a.m. on Sunday, we'll be dealing with some scattered showers and throughout the day, it is going to turn windy and even gusty 25 35 MPH after 8 p.m. through at least 4 a.m. on Monday, expect windswept downpours that can reduce visibility and also just bring some hazardous travel conditions with any of the flooding concerns that we have across the boroughs. Now Monday morning, around 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. we're still going to be dealing with some standing water. But thankfully, the rain is coming to an end. It is turning drier and colder with temperatures in the mid 40. So here's where we're starting our weekend, the sunshine and the chilly temperatures are with us on Saturday and then we'll be climbing into the mid fifties throughout the day, a blend of sun and clouds really gonna be a nice time to go outside and enjoy the conditions while we have its Sunday, excuse me, starts off dry and then we're seeing some scattered showers during the late morning, early afternoon and then it gradually begins to ramp up in intensity again, steady rainfall, moderate to heavy downpours will be possible even through the overnight. This is around 1 a.m. On Sunday night, we are seeing those temperatures crashing from the sixties to the forties and the rain doesn't even take us into early Monday morning. So your Monday morning commute will still be impacted by the storm and we will notice that chilly gusty wind throughout the day, highs will be in the mid forties and this is what's new. We actually have a slight risk for some scattered flash floods across portions of the city.

Saturday is the good day. Sunday is not. Sunday is going to be very rainy and windy. And the only good thing about Sunday are those temperatures well above normal and the taste of spring coming our way now with Sunday's rain, there's still a little bit of wiggle room on the exact timing of this. So be sure to stay with us throughout the day tomorrow for more updates. But we're talking about 2 to 3 inches of rain that spells flooding. Coastal flooding is possible during high tide and these winds coming through could gust up to about 50 miles an hour and that's strong enough to bring some power lines down or tree looms down and cause some issues. Of course, with those holiday decorations. So tomorrow is the prep day. It's nice and mild. You can get out, look around your yard, secure all those loose objects around your home and then Sunday going into Sunday, rather those clouds collect it dry. Saturday night, temperature are even milder here. Take a look at that extended forecast. So the storm watches up for Sunday night into Monday. Monday morning's commute if you're up before the sun rises. It could be impacted by that rain, but temperatures are going to fall during the day. On Monday, 58 occurs just after midnight, back down into the forties and the forties stick around throughout next week. And that's a look at your local forecast.

And we are on storm watch tonight. It might be a good idea to enjoy some of what's left left of good weather Addison tomorrow, right? Because Sunday going to change a lot. Right. Yeah, definitely gonna be a stark contrast out there. Nikita, Saturday. Great Sunday. Quite the opposite as we deal with a little bit of some storminess to wrap up the weekend. So here's what we got going on a very large area of blood pressure in its cold front will slide up towards the northeast. That's going to allow warmth and moisture to move up ahead of the cold front's arrival. Also getting the chance to squeeze have some batches of rain as the cold front pushes through our region behind the front, colder air will come surging on down with some gusty winds. So we may see some of that ho the holiday light displays in your neighborhood may be impacted from those gusty winds coming through. There is a chance for seeing some pockets of flooding going on in all across the Hudson Valley area of a flood watch up in effect Sunday afternoon through Monday morning as we anticipate seeing about 2 to 3 inches of rain, come on down, wind all is said and done, but you can certainly see some of those calls right there in the red highlighted regions showing you where that three inch potential is possible. So moving through your future cast, we have the wind gusts right here for you. There's a temperature in White Plains. By Sunday morning, we see some gusts very lightly 10 to 15 MPH temperatures in the upper forties. We watch that number move up towards the mid ff as the gusts start to increase come lunchtime getting some brief batches of scattered showers coming through. This will be the case on and off through the afternoon hours as temperatures continue to climb close to 60 degrees right there before five o'clock between about 5 to 8 o'clock or so. We may be seeing a lot of scattered thunderstorms potentially embedded in all that shower activity, producing some brief gusty winds, temperatures very mild for this time of the year as we move on in past midnight, we're watching that cold front push through our region. Look at the arrows coming out of the south right there in White plains coming in out of the north and the west past West Point. So there's a cold front, cold air is delayed coming in behind it. So while you do see that change over occurring towards the north and west, it won't be coming on in for everybody scattered showers still falling on down for Monday morning and then we'll see a brief change over in a few spots, maybe have some flakes mixed on in towards Monday morning's commute as cold air continues to rush on in. You can certainly see Sunday is not gonna be a day, great day to be out. And about Monday that rain change is dropping past the Monday morning commute. We're gonna be seeing the visibility starting to go down through Saturday morning and long 84 Brewster West Point just bear that in mind. All that moisture pushing up this way of a very light to calm wind is going to allow it to settle down towards the surface. That will be the case for Friday night as well as Saturday night. Then here comes that system across our vicinity, temperatures go from near around 6061 degrees dropping about 15 to 20 degrees by Monday. We trend in the forties for next week, but at least we are trending on the dry side.

But on Sunday, we are going to watch showers throughout the day, the worst of this weather will get here at night. So at least that's the good news. Most of the really bad stuff with the heavy rain and strong winds will be overnight Sunday and hopefully we most of us are sleeping through it. So 55 Saturday, 60 on Sunday, but it will get breezy through the day, strong winds by the evening with that heavy rainfall, we could get 2 to 3 inches, maybe more in some spots. So that's some pretty heavy rain. There could be a little bit of flooding in some spots overnight. Sunday, here's a look at your Sunday timeline. The morning is dry, you see the clouds 10 a.m. we could have a spot shower. Most of that rainfall will come in after two, the heavier rain with the big front that's passing by will come in after eight o'clock. So especially around midnight, that's when we could see the worst of it. So Saturday looks nice. It's partly sunny, it's warmer. We're in the fifties. Temperatures are about 10 degrees above normal. And by Sunday morning we start the day in the fifties, we're going up close to 60. This is two o'clock in the afternoon and we do see these showers popping up so they'll be hitting. You have to expect some wet weather on Sunday. But this big front that will bring the heavy steadier rain is off to our west until about eight o'clock in the evening. Slowly passing by overnight. This is 2 to 3 a.m. and we have that heavy rainfall with the strong winds in Suffolk County trekking towards the east end Monday morning and then it will get out of here during the height of that heavy rain. We could see winds gusting 40 to 50 MPH, but.

Fantastic. You know what? That smells like victory. Yeah, it looks pretty good. That is really cool. That's cool. That's fantastic. Now, we've got some issues with our forecast going into the weekend. It's not a total washout, but Sunday's not looking all that great. You've got those holiday decorations up. Uh, you may want to think about bringing them down Sunday afternoon. That's going to be the time frame that you have Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon because by, let's say dinner time, we are really going to start to see the weather going downhill fast with moderate to heavier rainfall. Rainfall rates of a half inch to almost an inch an hour in some cases and winds that will be sustained between 2030 miles an hour. Winds gusting to 4050 maybe even upwards to 60 miles an hour, especially along the shoreline. The national weather service has issued a flood watch not only for New Jersey, but just about the entire tri state area. We're anticipating a lot of water to fall very quickly, especially late Sunday night in a very early Monday morning. On top of that, you'll have the winds gusting. So it's a wind driven rain. There's an opportunity that a few dead branches could potentially come down in this type of wind. We could also be looking at power flickering from time to time, not the worst windstorm that we've been, we've had to deal with. But I think the consistency of the wind going from south westerly, then eventually to north westerly puts a little undue stress on some of the branches and the, the existing power lines that are out there. So again, going into early Monday afternoon, winds are still going to be upwards to about 2530 miles an hour. But now those temperatures are beginning to drop. And on Monday, those temperatures are going to be dropping fairly quickly. We warm up tomorrow. It's mild for the first part of Sunday. Then as those rains come through, we're really going to start to see those temperatures beginning to drop forties right now, dropping down into the upper thirties. A few spots north and west may actually get even cooler to about 30 or 31 tomorrow afternoon because of that south, south westerly wind. Your temperatures are mild for this time of year, but it's a dry day. I'll be optimistic and say it's partly sunny, but I'm counting on more clouds than sunshine real mess Sunday night into early Monday morning, but next week looking great lots of sunshine.
