From the ornate Bible to a pair of reading glasses, visitors get to know more about Louis Armstrong everywhere they turn in the historic home.
Regina Bain is the executive director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille called the place home for 30 years.
His legendary career spanned more than five decades of music. Armstrong is best known for his hit songs "What A Wonderful World" and "Hello Dolly!"
His three-story home built in 1910 is a national and New York state landmark.
Bain says Armstrong was not only a musician and humanitarian but also an activist in his own right.
