Some sources close to the Department of Buildings say they believe Ida caused the partial collapse. They believe the weight of the water was too much for the roof to hold.
Fire crews say the collapse happened just before 2:45 p.m.
Sources at the DOB say the building was vacant at the time.
City agencies are assessing the damage.
