yesterdayThe case against a man accused of slapping Rudy Giuliani on the back in a Staten Island supermarket is set to be dismissed.
Daniel Gill was charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury, harassment in the second degree, and menacing in the third degree for allegedly slapping Giuliani.
The former mayor of New York City and one-time attorney to former President Donald Trump described the incident earlier this year saying it felt like “somebody shot me."
But, the organization representing Gill says their client "merely patted" Giuliani to get his attention.
A source familiar with the case says it is expected to be dismissed in six months.
