A new plan to make our streets and subways safer is now in full swing.
Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul are deploying two police officers on all overnight trains.
This is all part of a six-month safety plan.
The two officers will be stationed on board every train from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
Along with the increased patrols, there will be new protective barriers installed on the platforms at over 100 stations, and new LED lights will come to all stations.
