Residents of a condominium complex in the Bronx say they feel more at ease now that a centralized public-safety office has opened.
The new office allows officers, dispatchers and other members of the safety team to work out of one location. They say they'll be able to respond to calls at the Parkchester North Condominium complex more efficiently.
One resident says that the public-safety office, which had not yet been centralized, was the reason she moved into the condos three years ago.
"If you didn't have public safety, then you'd have to get the cops involved and everything would take a little longer," says Latisha Woods. "With public safety, people can just go about their business."
