Christmas arrived a few days early for hundreds of needy Bronx children.
Santa doled out gifts on Saturday at the Salvation Army's annual toy drive.
The Salvation Army helps low-income families in the Bronx year-round, but the holidays are their biggest time of the year.
"Out of all the things we do this whole year this is the most rewarding," volunteer Dahiana Polanco said. "Let's be real, these are families that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to get these kids presents for Christmas, so bringing joy to their lives, it's really heartwarming for us."
