A coronavirus outbreak in a third-grade classroom has closed Old Bethpage Elementary School.
Sources say most of the students - plus their teacher - have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The district superintendent, in a letter to parents, said she is aware of "lapses in mask wearing protocols and symptomatic individuals who were in attendance the week before the outbreak."
The school is remote through the rest of the week, scheduled to reopen on Monday.
Staff were tested at the school Wednesday morning. Students and parents are invited to be tested there through 5 p.m.
