Second gentleman Doug Emhoff visits NJ to talk vaccines and employment

Second gentleman Doug Emhoff came to New Jersey on Tuesday.
Emhoff, husband to Vice President Kamala Harris, met with New Jersey first lady Tammy Murphy and made trips to Newark and Elizabeth to discuss vaccines and employment.
At East Side High School in Newark, Emhoff commended the Garden State for setting an example nationwide regarding COVID-19 vaccinations.
“I think we’re at, what, two-thirds of Americans have their shots? We’ve got to do better. We’ve got to bring this home. And this is such an amazing example,” Emhoff said.
Currently nearly 74% of New Jersey residents have the first dose of the vaccine. Almost 66% are fully vaccinated.
