Many stores in the SoHo section of Manhattan suffered extensive damage, including shattered windows and stolen property.
A News 12 reporter captured looters breaking windows and running out with bags of items around midnight. People could also be seen in the middle of the street repacking boxes full of stolen merchandise.
Stores like Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel were completely raided, leaving nearly nothing left inside the stores.
Most streets off of Houston Street have been blocked off by patrol vehicles. Authorities confirm they have made multiple arrests throughout the night.
