The NYPD was on the scene on Lafayette Avenue and Stickball Boulevard Friday morning after they say shots were fired outside of the Adlai E. Stevenson Campus. The ShotSpotter system activated drawing cops to the location.

At least two bullets were spotted on the ground right outside the Soundview school. Police say two teen boys were seen firing guns at the location and then running away. There is no indication they were firing at a specific person.

The teens were seen running south on Stickball Boulevard. The New York City Department of Education schools are closed today.
