The Sisters of Divine Compassion released a video Friday afternoon on the decision to close Preston High School at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Principal Jennifer Connolly said in a letter that the Board of Trustees informed the school of their decision to close the school in June.

The Board of Trustees say declining enrollment and financial struggles played a role in the decision.

Preston's board says it wanted to purchase the school. However, after a year and a half of negotiations, it didn't work out.
