A small business and furniture design studio in Brooklyn is considering itself lucky to still be able to create during the coronavirus pandemic.
Artist Paul Kruger creates custom furniture from fallen wood and says his business is still standing thanks to a big project for Netflix.
"It was very fortunate to get that project right before this all went down because that did keep the lights on, that did keep the doors open,” says Kruger.
The project includes three 14-foot tables for the Netflix offices that they’re finishing up.
Kruger says that he is also lucky that most of his business can go on as normal online. He says he is able to customize with clients and design 3D rendering projects.
"This is not just my business, but it's also a hobby obviously, so that's been able to help me keep my sanity, as well being able to push those projects forward,” says Kruger.
Kruger says his heart goes out to those businesses that can’t go on during the pandemic.
