Elected officials are making sure small businesses in the Bronx are getting all the help that they need to stay afloat with a walk-through of Claremont's shops on Tuesday.
Whether it is negotiating a lease or making sure their businesses are protected, Council Member Oswald Feliz and Small Business Services Commissioner Kevin D. Kim say it is important for small business owners to know the resources at hand.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. These businesses are generally owned by local residents, they also employ local residents. So, it's crucial that they know that the city of New York is here to help them," said Councilmember Feliz.
"They're sometimes too busy to come to our offices and all of our centers so we want to make sure we bring all of our resources and services to them," said SBS Commissioner Kim.
