Restaurants and small businesses are worried they'll be shut down again as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the city.
Areas like Midwood are already in a yellow zone with tighter restrictions in place, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo is considering shutting down nonessential businesses if the positivity rate of coronavirus continues to show a negative trend.
The city is seeing a rise in the number of confirmed cases, the number of probable cases, hospitalizations and deaths. The Bronx is seeing a seven-day rolling average positivity rate of nearly 4.8%, and Brooklyn is seeing an average positivity rate of 4.1%.
A total of 92 people died of the coronavirus on Thursday, including two in the Bronx and eight in Brooklyn.
Cuomo is expected to make an announcement later today.
