Some Bronx residents preferred to shop in stores on Cyber Monday rather than from the comfort of their homes.
Shoppers were out at Best Buy at the Bronx Terminal Market Monday purchasing TVs, speakers and other electronics. Many say they prefer seeing the merchandise in person.
"It's more convenient, I can get what I need right then and there, as opposed to shopping online," Phillip Freeman says. "I also don't trust the websites that are available online."
Experts say shoppers should use secure sites with "HTTPS" in the url and change passwords frequently, and to think hard before clicking on links or pop-up ads.
According to the National Retail Federation, 122 million people planned to shop online Monday. That figure is up 1 million from 2015.
