News 12 has learned that the infant boys found dead behind a Bronx apartment building earlier this week had skull fractures, which are injuries consistent with a fall, according to police sources.
However, police say they are continuing to investigate other scenarios as to how the newborn baby boys could have died.
Members of the community planned a vigil for the baby boys who never got a chance at life Friday night.
Police say the boys were found dead behind 1460 College Ave. wrapped in paper and discovered by the super of the building.  Sources also say they both still had their umbilical cords attached.
Police say they are hoping to find DNA evidence or that someone comes forward.
