Sources tell News 12 the man seen in a viral video eating a rat in the Bronx has now been arrested in a separate incident.
The criminal complaint says Abbakar Traore was arrested for allegedly preventing law enforcement from doing their jobs.
Sources confirm with News 12 that Traore was also the man seen eating a rat in Mott Haven.
Traore faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest to name a few.
The complaint alleges that when officers tried to place Traore in handcuffs, he hit one of the officers in the face with them, injuring the officer.
The complaint says he was arrested on Third Avene in the Bronx on Tuesday.
