A man who was shot by multiple suspects Thursday night in the South Bronx is in a hospital recovering.

Investigators say they responded to a call of shots fired on Alexander Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.

He was rushed to a Lincoln Hospital, where he's in stable condition.

Police say the suspects are four unknown males who fled the scene.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police.
