St. Rosalia Feast celebrates 40th anniversary in Bensonhurst
The St. Rosalia "18th Avenue Feast" celebrated its 40th anniversary in Bensonhurst this Sunday.
The blocks between 68th and 75th streets on 18th Avenue were lined with vendors, floats, food, and even a ferris wheel. Hundreds of people came out from all over the city to take part in the festivities.
"I had to come all the way from the Bronx to experience this" said Mario Bucceri, one of the many attendees of the feast that came from outside of Brooklyn. "It's just nice to be around people."
"It puts the community back together" said Ivan Bucci.
The celebration was packed on Sunday, but will be running through this week and up to the first week of September.
