The scheduled start time for the New York Yankees’ Monday game against the Miami Marlins has been delayed four hours due to challenges of playing through a solar eclipse.
Major League Baseball and the Yankees say they decided to reschedule the start time of the game on April 8 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx from 2:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m., citing potential in-game delays due to the eclipse as a reason for the change.
All Yankee Stadium gates will open to guests beginning at 3 p.m. The first 15,000 guests in attendance will receive a Yankees Solar Eclipse T-shirt presented by HubSpot.
