The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from Wednesday morning through Thursday night due to the heat and humidity potentially leading to increased risk of heat related illness. Seek air conditioning, stay hydrated and stay cool.
On top of the heat, we will have very light winds. This doesn't allow for much cooling, or circulation of the air, which leads to build up of pollutants. Ozone is expected to cross into an unhealthy category, and there is an Air Quality Alert in effect from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Repeat rain chances continue for us in our borough. A more likely and more widespread chance moves through late on Wednesday into early parts of Thursday.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, warm and sticky. Lows near 75.
