News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says a hazy sunshine will be followed by nighttime showers on Tuesday.
TODAY: Hazy sunshine. Smoke is in the air, with degraded air quality. Not terrible, but sensitive groups should limit time outside. Highs surge to 62. Clouds arrive after noon.
TONIGHT - STORM WATCH: Showers arrive around 6 p.m. Rain will be on and off through 6 a.m. Not a washout but slow travel and puddles expected. Temperatures hover in the middle 50s.
TOMORROW - STORM WATCH: Isolated showers in the morning, then partly cloudy, warm and humid. Highs up to 64. Rain and thunderstorms between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., with the line of thunderstorms likely around 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Gusty winds likely (30 to 40 mph). Temps crash from 64 at 6 p.m. to 39 at 12 a.m. Lows down to 35. Feels like 20-25.
THURSDAY: Partly sunny and breezy. Much colder. Highs near 42, feeling like the 20s and low 30s. Lows down to 34.
FRIDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs near 45. Lows around 39.
NEXT WEEKEND: A coastal storm may skim us Saturday, otherwise mostly sunny and warmer. 50s on Saturday, 60s on Sunday.
