Today's weather is quiet, dry, and cold with highs near the mid-30s under a mostly cloudy sky. Not much is happening for now, but a storm is brewing to the south that will lift across New Jersey through Tuesday and Wednesday. This storm isn't major, but impacts can be notable on Tuesday morning from 7 a.m. to noon with a light slushy accumulation of ice and snow from I-78 and points north. This will be brief as it changes over to rain after noon. The plain rain continues throughout Tuesday, moderate at times at night. The rain continues until about 8 a.m. on Wednesday before departing. Wednesday's weather features improvement with emerging sunshine and fair weather. Highs push to the lower 50s. Unsettled weather arrives for Thursday and Friday with mostly cloudy conditions and random periodic showers/sprinkles as a result of a nearby stationary front. Temperatures surge by the weekend to the upper 50s and even the upper 60s. Some spots may make a run for near 70 degrees on Sunday coupled with sunshine.
